 Dear Patient Advocates and Friends,

ARxC/Rx in Reach GA is Co-chairing the 2020 Virtual GA Bio Patient Advocacy Summit, September 22, 10am-12Noon. We hope you will REGISTER TODAY to be part of this first-time event. We are most excited that our Theme is: Health Equity & Access in a Patients Time of Crisis.

Here at ARxC/Rx in Reach we believe it is vital that the Patient Advocacy community have a voice at the table with our Bio-Pharma leaders. I am reaching out today to personally to ask your help in making this Summit a success and an event of value for the patient advocate attendees. This Summit is designed to:

·      Showcase effective ways the life sciences companies can amplify the patient voice into the work they do.

·      Identify patient priorities and reflect patient concerns in the Georgia Bio legislative platform for 2021.

·      Showcase Georgia Bio and its members as an ally for patient groups.

·      Identify how industry can support advancing patient priorities such as access and affordability.

·      Encourage greater involvement of advocates and industry at every stage of the continuum.

·      Share what challenges the advocacy community is experiencing, especially during COVID.

In order to effectively highlight the patients’ journey with serious chronic illness and help industry recognize our value in the process of getting affordable access to cutting – edge treatments and pharmaceuticals, we are seeking patient stories to share during the summit. These can be prerecorded videos from your phone or a written testimonial for us to share.

Would you (or someone you know) be willing to send me a brief overview of your illness journey and why clinical trials and developing new therapies are critical to you staying alive and having a good quality of life? If you have been in a clinical trial, please share its impact on your illness journey.

·      Written testimonial : Not more than 2-3 paragraphs

·      Video testimonial: Not more than 2-3 minutes. We can setup a zoom call and record your testimony if it is easier for you. Please send an email with the patient’s name, phone number and email address ASAP so we can schedule your Zoom. It is best to have your script written and practiced before the Zoom.

Please send your emails as soon as possible to Dorothy Leone-Glasser

You can share this email with any patient who has a story to share; especially if they have experience with clinical trials. As you can see from our date, time is short. So please share by Wednesday, September 16.

Thank you again for your assistance and support!
