Article Type:

ARxC is a member of The Coalition on Human Needs (CHN) since 2011. We focus on issues that affect low income and vulnerable populations from budget appropriations, jobs, nutrition, poverty, tax policy and health. CHN defines basic needs programs as those that enable low-income people to receive help with the necessities of food, health care, housing/utilities, education, and income and work supports. Many threats to these programs have been proposed in the past, and more are expected in 2018 -2019.

ARxC recently supported the SAVE for ALL Campaign (Strengthening America’s Values and Economy (SAVE) for All). (See our SAVE Statement:

SAVE for All Campaign has four principles:

  • Protect Low-Income and Vulnerable Populations.
  • Promote Job Creation and Strengthen the Economy for All.
  • Increase Revenues from Fair Sources.
  • Seek Responsible Savings from Wasteful Spending in the Pentagon and Elsewhere.

ARxC signed onto a letter to Congress showing the human needs community stands united, with one voice, in telling Congress that protecting vulnerable populations and being fiscally responsible are our priorities, should be their priorities, and that they will hear from us.  member of a coalition of national, state and local advocacy groups, service providers, faith-based organizations, policy experts, labor and civil rights groups working to protect important services from harmful federal budget cuts and to save the federal capacity to spur economic recovery and progress for the benefit of all.

We need organizations and individuals to sign on to our SAVE for ALL Principles to speak to Congress in one strong voice. Please join us and sign on! ( )
